A Reaffirmation Agreement Lunch with the Hon Margaret M. Mann: To Sign or Not to Sign?

The Hon. Margaret M. Mann and Derek Soinski will discuss the law applicable to reaffirmation agreements and challenges attorneys face in determining whether to certify reaffirmation agreements on behalf of their clients. Topics will include the facts on credit reporting of a reaffirmed debt, a discussion of the court’s authority and obligation to review a reaffirmation agreement, presumptions of undue hardship, and attorneys’ obligations to their clients in the reaffirmation context.
